IT and Security

Any personal data saved is held safely with security systems preventing unauthorised access and we always ensure it is treated confidentially.  We take security very seriously and we use one of the strongest available security systems to protect your communications with us. Our whole site is automatically protected using something called a Secure Socket Layer (SSL) between your computer and ours. SSL works in the following ways:

  • It prevents impersonation – you can tell that you are using a genuine SSL site by the padlock symbol at the bottom (or top depending on your browser) of the screen. Clicking on either the padlock in the URL bar or the company name will reveal our Registration Certificate that is issued by Comodo Secure.
  • It encrypts data – as soon as your computer has recognised our servers they encrypt all information that is passed between them. Data encryption means that no one else can read or change your information as it travels over the Internet.
  • It prevents scrambling – SSL uses a Message Authentication Code (MAC) to prevent anyone tampering with our Internet site. Your computer will always check this code before it takes a message from us. This means that if anyone tried to interfere with a message, your computer would not recognise the code and would alert you.

Our site goes one step further and has 2048-bit digital signatures and 256-bit encryption Extended Validation-SSLtechnology with Comodo Secure to ensure it is safe and secure. This is the highest assurance SSL Certificate available today, with 99.9% browser recognition.

Now the largest Trust provider in the world, and the most trusted site seal available according to a recent survey of 25,818 people (16/11/15) with 85.09% of people voting for the Comodo Site Seal. This is visible on the bottom right of every page on the KAPUT website for your reassurance.

An EV-SSL certificate offers the highest available levels of trust and authentication, ensuring that your connection to the KAPUT website is private. The Green Address Bar prominently displays our company name and provides highly visual assurance to you that our site is secure – immediately giving you the confidence to complete your transaction.
